Speaker talks about the four compartments of mind : Manas, Buddhi, Ahamkara and Chitta and how to control your mind by knowing where the thought process is g Enligt Akhand Sutra betyder Indriya sinnen, Manas betyder sinne, Ahankar betyder ego, Asmita betyder självkänsla, Buddhi betyder intellekt, Mahat betyder intuition, Chitta betyder medvetande och Antaratma betyder den inneboende människans själ. Det kumulativa medvetandet av de hundra biljoner cellerna i den vuxna människokroppen kallas Jivatma. In yogic sciences, when we say human mind, there are 16 parts to your mind. These 16 parts can be categorized as fundamentally 4 parts.

The other three parts are Buddhi, Citta and Manas. Buddhi means intelligence, chit means mirror, chit means conscious, manas means mind, Ahankar means ego, Vaikarik or non-Vaikarik, Satchitanand means that is truth, aware, and bliss. So, let us understand in a more simpler way- Asmita occurs when pure non-dual Consciousness (the divinity that we are) forgets it is non-dual due to avidya or ignorance and it plays in a human being as an individual (asmita), this second coloring comes almost simultaneous with avidya, this is a very subtle veil of I-ness, it has not yet have any characteristic, it now appears as an individual In Sanskrit these four functions are designated as manas, buddhi, ahamkara and chitta.

Doing, awareness and being are the three important aspects of man. Body, mind Buddhi, Chitta and Ahamkara are three subtle forms of the mind. According to

Manas = one of the four functions of mind: manas, chitta, ahamkara and buddhi Manas = this function of mind relies on the instructions of buddhi, manas itself cannot make any decisions (this is buddhi‘s job). If manas is not coordinated well with buddhi, and/or we are not in the habit of listening to buddhi, then manas gets its instructions for somewhere else, because manas itself cannot make any decisions.

Also in the Gita, Lord Krishna uses the term Chitta in various places. Chitta is a separate faculty or category in El proceso de convergencia de buddhi con chitta al romper los grilletes de manas y ahankara es una práctica yóguica de "iluminación".

Astral mental elements would be manas and buddhi, the ones you mention. A human being has four separate functions or faculties of your mind that are modifications: ahamkara (ego), manas (sensory or lower mind), buddhi (intellect), and chitta (the unconscious reservoir or storehouse of all impressions). These faculties create obstacles for you and you are searching for enlightenment in the external world. Chitta is termed as the mind-stuff or mental substance. It is the groundfloor, as it were. From it proceed the three Vrittis, viz., Manas, Buddhi and Ahankara. This word belongs to the Rajayogic terminology of Maharshi Patanjali.
